CABG Surgery

CABG is a surgery which is performed to improve circulation in heart in people with severe coronary artery disease.

If patient have critical blockages that is if blockage is more than 70% in left main coronary artery , if there are multiple blockages in single artery or blockages in three arteries then CABG surgery is indicated.

If the blockages are very long or the coronary arteries are very small in size,if the patient is diabetic or heart function on echo cardiogram is weak such cases will definitely improve with CABG than any other technique.

In case of heart disease with single or double vessel block and depending on the vessel, now a days stenting is done.

Post operation anticoagulants should be taken to prevent recurrence of thrombosis in vessels.
